Since 2023, the Faculty of Political Science has developed a double bachelor's degree partnership between the School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies (SPAIS) at the University of Bristol and the BIR Program at Thammasat University. This program aims to promote student mobility between institutions of higher learning.

  • 2 + 2 Partnership Pathway: Students are required to study years 1-2 at the BIR Program, Thammasat University, and years 3-4 at the School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies, University of Bristol*
  • Students in the program may receive 2 Bachelor's awards after meeting the requirements.

  Criteria

  1. Maintain no less than 3.00 of the cumulative GPA in the first and second year
  2. Collect at least 75 credits before transferring to the University of Bristol

Double Degree with the School of Policy Studies (SPS), University of Bristol, United Kingdom

  • 4 + 1 Partnership Pathway: Students are required to complete all degree requirements at the BIR Program, Thammasat University, and continue studying for their master's degree in the School of Public Policy at the University of Bristol
  • Students in the program may receive 1 Bachelor's award and 1 Master's award after meeting the requirements.
    • Bachelor of Political Science (Politics and International Relations) at the Thammasat University
    • MSc in Public Policy at the University of Bristol

 

  Eligibility for the Global Transfer Programme

  1. Graduate from the Bachelor of Political Science Program in Politics and International Relations (BIR), or the Bachelor of Political Science (Thai-taught program) in the year immediately preceding your application to Bristol. 
    • For example, if students graduate from Thammasat in 2024, they will be eligible for the Global Transfer Programme for the 2025 entry at Bristol.
    • Only students participatin on the Global Transfer Programme will be automatically received a 10% tuition fee discount.
  2. GPA upon graduation no less than 3.0
  3. For Thai taught students must meet IELTS 6.5 overall with no score below 6.0
  4. For BIR students will be exempt from demonstrating English Language Proficiency

 

  Application Process

  1. Inform TU key contact for the Global Transfer Programme (Chayanit Intong, mochaynt@tu.ac.th), before submit the application form.
  2. Complete the online application form: https://www.bristol.ac.uk/international/partnerships/apply/
  3. After you apply, they aim to respond within 3-4 working days.
  4. Applicant will need to accept the offer by email within 2 weeks of receiving the offer. Applicant do not need to make any payment to accept the offer
  5. In the summer before arriving, applicant need to send them a copy of his/her degree transcripts and English Langauge score (if applicable), so they can confirm the entry requirements.
